Florida police hunt for ‘armed and dangerous’ woman, 28, suspected of shooting and killing her eight-year-old daughter and her stepfather

Police in Port St Lucie, Florida, are looking for 28-year-old Alyssa Marie Torres, who is suspected of killing her daughter and stepfather
Police in Florida are on the hunt for a woman who they say killed her own eight-year-old daughter and her stepfather, and injured her mother in Port St Lucie early this morning.
According to the city’s police department, at around 12.30am officers responded to the Waterleaf Townhomes Apartments on SE Hillmoor Drive and found the bodies of a young girl and a man in his 50s. Both suffered gunshot wounds.
The adult victim’s wife was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries that were not inflicted by gunfire.
Police have identified the suspect in the attack on the family as 28-year-old Alyssa Marie Torres.
She is believed to have fled the scene in a silver 2005 Toyota Rav4 with a Florida Tag of KPD-T14.
Torres is known to frequent Palm Beach and Orlando.
According to investigators, the woman should be considered armed and dangerous.
