A gas station clerk who was sucker punched by a belligerent customer has said he’s lucky because the CT he had to have afterwards revealed the early stages of a brain tumor.
The customer had entered the Marathon gas station at 1239 Kennedy Blvd in Tampa, Florida, to buy alcohol just before 3.30am on Sunday.
When David Miller, 63, informed the man that no alcohol could be sold after 3am, he became confrontational.
When Miller asked the man to leave the store, he refused and continued arguing.

He then got directly in the clerk’s face and knocked him to the ground with an unprovoked punch, police said.
The suspect fled the scene on foot and was last seen walking south on Channelside Drive.
He is described as a white male, around 25 years old, around 5ft 10ins tall with a thin moustache and goatee.
After the man left, Miller sought medical attention to ensure no real damage had been done from the punch.

The CT scan doctors performed found a benign, brain tumor that can be treated at an early stage, he told Fox 13 News.
‘My God turns evil to good,’ he told the news organization.
‘Because of this, I got a CT scan in my head to make sure he didn’t do any real damage.

He said all he wanted was to ‘see him turn a new leaf and have a better life.’
Tampa Police Department released surveillance video showing the entirety of the incident after Miller urged them to do so.
