A Florida mother-of-two and Iraq veteran has vanished after telling her family she was afraid of her ex-boyfriend. Rachel Schwartz (pictured), 33, was last seen in Ring camera footage leaving her ex-boyfriend John Scorah’s home in Waimauma, Hillsborough County with luggage around 5pm on January 31. She then checked into a veteran crisis center.

The chilling Ring camera footage captured Schwartz walking away from the home as a man in the background shouted, 'Rachel I have everything you need, I’m asking you to stay one more day.'

Schwartz moved to Minnesota last year to escape Scorah, who was arrested in April 2022 for battery, according to Fox News. The charges were later dropped. At the time of her disappearance, Schwartz was in Florida visiting her two children, who she shares with a different man. Schwartz's sister, Elizabeth Schrupp, said that she was supposed to fly home to Minnesota on February 4. 'Her last message to my dad was that she wanted to come home and she was afraid of her ex. The same day her phone and social media account went silent,' Schrupp wrote on Facebook.

It's unclear why Schwartz decided to make a pit stop at Scorah's home, but her brother-in-law told Fox News that her last words to her father was that she feared her ex. Schrupp claimed police have contacted her sister's ex-boyfriend since her disappearance. 'Police have conducted welfare checks on her ex boyfriend’s home- one with no answer and one after she had been missing for almost a week,' Schrupp wrote. Schwartz was active on social media during her trip to Florida, posting several photos. Her last post before she mysteriously disappeared showed her posing for the camera while eating.

A few weeks before she shared a photo of herself roaming around the Sunshine State with a caption that read: 'I love finding open fields in FL. It's rare now days and one day this peace in earth may not be here.'

Before moving to Minnesota around late-October, Schwartz completed a PTSD Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program, according to her Facebook. 'I highly recommended written exposure therapy for those who have PTSD and have struggled like I have,' she previously wrote. 'And it doesn't end here. This is only the beginning!' Schwartz is described as a five-feet and two-inches tall with blonde hair and blue eyes.
