A Florida woman stabbed herself three times in the stomach with a kitchen knife and was found covered in blood saying she was ‘tired of living in Trump’s country’. 

The 46-year-old woman, from Palmetto, was found covered in blood on her legs, hands and face after she attacked herself on Saturday June 2.

‘I’m tired of living in Trump’s country, I’m tired of Trump being president,’ she told police. 

When cops approached her and asked what was wrong she lifted her shirt to reveal the stab wounds on her stomach that were still bleeding and said she ‘stabbed herself because she does not want to live in Trump’s country, according to The Smoking Gun.

She was transported to a local hospital ‘under trauma alert’. 

Police found ‘a large amount of blood’ on the floor of the kitchen, living room and bathroom in the home.  

‘I strongly believe there is substantial likelihood that without care or treatment the person will cause serious bodily harm to herself and/or others,’ the responding officer said. 

‘I believe that [redacted] is unable to determine for herself whether examination is necessary,’ the officer added.

He recommended she be involuntarily admitted into a mental health treatment facility as per Florida’s Mental Health Act of 1971 also known as the Baker Act. 

The examination can be requested by a judge, physicians, mental health professionals and law enforcement, if there’s evidence that the person has a possible mental illness and is in danger of harming themselves or others. 

According to the police report, she had been admitted to a mental health facility before under the Baker Act and ‘has attempted to hurt herself in the past.’
