  • Floyd Mayweather and  Logan Paul will go head-to-head on June 5 in their exhibition bout
  • The mega-money fight was due to be held on February 20, but was postponed

Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul are set to go head to head on June 5 in their rearranged exhibition bout.

The money-spinning match was due to be held on February 20, but was postponed due to what Paul describes as ‘complications’ with Mayweather.

However, according to The Athletic, the fight has now been scheduled for June and will be shown on Showtime pay per view.

Logan Paul has only had two boxing fights, both against Youtube rival KSI

As a result, the fight will take place on the same night Teofimo Lopez takes on George Kambosas in a quest to defend his lightweight world titles.

The undercard for that fight would also see Evander Holyfield return to the ring to take on Kevin McBride in an exhibition fight.

As it stands, the location of Mayweather’s bout with Paul is yet to be determined but the 44-year-old did take to Instagram to identify the five cities under consideration.

He asked his fans whether they would like to see the fight take place in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas or Atlanta.

However, Mayweather  – who retired in 2017 with a perfect 50-0 record – held the last 15 professional fights of his career in Nevada and could be tempted to return to familiar territory.

According to reports, Mayweather will be limited 160lb for the fight, while Paul will be restricted to 190lb.

Paul has previously stated that the fight will see him go six three-minute rounds against the sport’s best pound-for-pound fighter. However, official terms of the rearranged bout have not been released.

The social media phenomenon has only fought professionally twice – when taking on fellow YouTuber KSI – while his brother Jake has won three professional fights.

Mayweather’s last fight saw him beat UFC superstar Conor McGregor, though he did have an exhibition bout with featherweight kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in December 2018, in which he won inside the first round.
