A terrifying sign at an entertainment centre surrounded by bush warns customers to flush toilets to avoid snakes slithering up the pipes.

A photo of the sign was posted to Reddit on Sunday alongside the caption: ‘Maybe I’ll just hold on.’

Dozens of other people were quick to share their own experiences visiting the entertainment centre, which is surrounded by bushland.

‘You’ll see many “beware of snakes” signs as you start your walk to the arena from train. Also the toilet block between train and arena have snakes residing up in the rafters,’ wrote one woman.

‘What an Australian sign,’ added another, while a third wrote: ‘Never change Queensland, never change.’

‘This why I appreciate Australia from a distance,’ said one man.

‘I have a habit of doing it anyway even in my own home. It’s happened before, snakes come up the pipes or even frogs,’ explained another.
