Foodies are raving about Aldi Australia’s ‘cute’ potato hearts many say are perfect for Valentine’s day.  

The potato hearts can be found in Aldi’s frozen food isle and prepared in the oven and have some shoppers saying they taste just like McCains potato smiles that were hugely popular in the nineties. 

They generated a buzz on social media after one woman posted about the tasty potato treats in a popular Facebook group. 

Shoppers have been sent into a spin over Aldi Australia’s new potato hearts that many have dubbed the perfect Valentine’s Day snack

‘These could come in handy for Valentine’s Day,’ one woman said. 

‘This is what I’m buying myself for Valentine’s day,’ wrote a second. 

Another asked if they taste like potato smiles. 

‘Yes! I knew I knew the taste of them but I just couldn’t figure it out – thank you!’ the poster responded.

Made with sunflower oil, the potato hearts are made with sunflower oil and low in cholesterol. 

The potato hearts are not available online but shoppers may be able to find them at their local Aldi store.
