Footage of road worker busting some moves in his hi-vis goes viral

A road worker has turned a boring work day into fun by dancing on the side of the road in his high-visibility jacket.

Toni Finau, of New Zealand pulled out his dance moves on Friday afternoon at the end of a long day at work. 

A video of the dancing was posted by Ajay Utopo-Vaalepu and has since gone viral, viewed on Facebook more than 10,000 times.

Holding a road work stick, he was dancing to the song ‘Lazy Siren’ by Joewana Reggae. 

‘Haha why why not, a bit of Friday fun…way to end a long week with the best dancer all the way from Tonga,’ he said.  

Mr Utopo-Vaalepu  told the NZ Herald he was just ‘killing time’ before packing up for the day.

‘We were just killing time to pack up our job after a long week,’ Mr Utopo-Vaalepu said.

‘We weren’t expecting it to be so popular but it sort of blew up.’ 

Social media users reacted to the post with amusement, praising the men for their dance moves.

‘Loooove it,’ one person said.
