Footage shows two women brawling on the street in Otahuhu, New Zealand, as bystanders jeer

Sickening footage has captured two women trading blows in the middle of a street as bystanders jeered.

The footage, filmed outside the a TAB near Auckland on New Zealand’s North Island, shows one woman pin the other to the ground and repeatedly punch her in the head.

In the video, which was uploaded to Facebook on Friday, the woman pinned to the ground can be heard pleading with her attacker ‘don’t hurt me’ and ‘get off me’, but her pleas go ignored.

Her attacker refuses to back off, instead fastening her hands around her victim’s neck and choking her.

As the two women brawl on the ground, the cameraman can be heard cheering them on.

He swings the camera around and films himself grinning wildly with his middle finger up at the camera.

When the two women finally separate, the woman in the black t-shirt crosses the road and sits outside a dining and takeaway establishment.

But the brutality doesn’t end there.

The man behind the camera urges the woman in red to go for ’round two’.

One male bystander was seen pulling the two women off each other, before the film came to an end.

The footage shocked viewers, but many were more stunned by the actions of the cameraman rather than the two women involved.

‘Why record when you could have helped the situation? I swear, the human race is f*****,’ one woman said.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted the Auckland Police for comment.
