Taufua told reporters outside Southport Magistrates Court she would be supporting her son’s team come Origin, The Courier Mail reported.

‘Go the Blues,’ she said.

‘This has nothing to do with my son.’

But Haas has previously faced punishment from the NRL Integrity Commission after he failed to assist in investigations into a separate incident involving his mum.

Taufua was given a three-year probation order for assaulting a mother and her teenage daughter at the women’s rugby league match in Brisbane in August last year.

In the latest assault, Taufua attacked Mr Tyler, a delivery driver, when he attempted to record her car’s registration number after an altercation.

Mr Tyler said at the time ‘she was certainly the most aggressive, not just female, but person I’ve ever come across in my life’.

He was treated for a broken nose, broken teeth and a punctured lip at the time, and says he is still mentally scarred.
