  • He posted picture of himself holding Europa League trophy won by Blues
  • Spaniard played part in campaign before moving to Monaco in January
  • He tweeted: ‘In the end I won more myself from a studio than you guys’

Cesc Fabregas taunted Tottenham fans after the disappointment of their Champions League defeat by Liverpool.

The former Chelsea and Arsenal man never misses an opportunity to rub it in on social media.

He shared a photo of himself with the Europa League trophy, which he helped win this season with the Blues before moving to Monaco in January.

Cesc Fabregas won the Europa League for playing his part with Chelsea earlier in the season

And the Spaniard wrote: ‘In the end I won more myself from a studio than you guys.’ He subsequently deleted the tweet.

Whether the 32-year-old’s message was a bit of fun or a classless jibe probably depends on which team you support.

But there is no doubting Fabregas’ anti-Tottenham sentiments after he played for two of their fiercest rivals.

Liverpool downed Spurs 2-0 in the Champions League showpiece and the midfielder chose to stick the knife in.

He was replying to Spurs legend Graham Roberts on Twitter who had criticised him earlier in the season for a lack of game time at Monaco.

Fabregas responded by saying he did not think Spurs would win a trophy this year and followed it up with Sunday’s taunt about winning more silverware this year despite being on punditry duty for the Europa League final between his old clubs.
