Former Disney Channel star Caroline Sunshine joins the White House press office

Former Disney Channel actress Caroline Sunshine has landed herself a job in the White House press office. 

The 22-year-old will join President Trump’s team working as a press assistant. 

Sunshine, who starred in Disney’s Shake It Off from 2010-2013, has been interning of late in various Republican offices.

The California native was also recently a White House intern.

Sunshine applied for the internship through the White House’s website, White House spokeswoman Lindsay Walters told CNN. 

‘Caroline Sunshine was a White House intern. In college, she was involved with the American Enterprise Institute and an active member of her school’s Model United Nations team,’ Walters said.

‘Prior to her internship at the White House, Caroline interned for the Office of House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, the College Republican National Committee and the California Republican Party.’

Despite not being very active on her social media accounts, Sunshine has amassed a large following with 500,000 Twitter followers and more than 235,000 on Instagram. 

She made a name for herself as a teen starring opposite Bella Thorne and Zendaya on Shake It Off.
