Former EastEnders’ stars Jake Wood and Adam Woodyatt have a surprise reunion

Former EastEnders stars Jake Wood and Adam Woodyatt enjoyed a moment of serendipity as they bumped into each other at King’s Cross Station on Monday.

Adam, 53, and Jake, 49, who play Ian Beale and Max Branning respectively, looked ecstatic as they posed for a sweet selfie which they then both posted.

The pair of them were sporting beards and Jake, who is set to make his West End debut opposite Lily Allen on Tuesday evening, opened his mouth in joy and pointed his finger to former co-star Adam who looked equally happy.

Adam, who is the longest running actor on the soap, – starting 36 years ago – is currently on a 10 month sabbatical where he has been enjoying his downtime by travelling round in his motorhome while starring in the play Looking Good Dead.

Jake meanwhile left the Square in late 2020 and is now starring in a West End show alongside Lily called 2:22 A Ghost Story, which kicks off.

Many fans were quick to comment underneath the photographs, including one which read: ‘Brilliant photo guys! Small world indeed!…
