Former Neighbours star Ashleigh Brewer leaves US to return home

Australia’s are most used to seeing their home grown stars pack-up and head overseas in search of greater success.

But that’s not the case for former Neighbours star Ashleigh Brewer.

After landing a role on the US soap The Bold and the Beautiful back in 2014, the 27-year-old is leaving the bright lights of Hollywood and coming back home.

The Sunday Telegraph reports that Ashleigh left her role as Ivy Forrester back in January after scoring a part on Home and Away.

 ‘It was a personal choice to get back here and refresh for a minute,’ she told the publication.

At this stage the details of Ashleigh’s role is being kept secret, but it is known that she will be playing a cop named Chelsea.

While she won’t be appearing on our screen for several months yet, the paper has has been confirmed that she the pretty brunette has signed an initial six-month contract with the show.

According to the Herald Sun Ashleigh’s decision to quit  The Bold and The Beautiful was inspired by her former co-star Margot Robbie.

‘I’ve had Margot encouraging me for so long (saying) just leave it and see what happens,’ she said.

 ‘It’s daunting but exciting.’ 

 Ashleigh’s breakout role was on The Sleepover Club when she was just 12.

Since that time she’s been working consistently,before eventually becoming a household name while starring as Kate Ramsay on Neighbours.
