Former NFL star Jack Brewer has slammed Joe Biden for his ‘ain’t black’ comment about African-Americans who may be unsure about whether to support him or President Donald Trump.
‘The mask is off,’ Brewer told Fox and Friends Weekend on Sunday. ‘America can see the real Joe Biden, hopefully all of my African-American brothers and sisters.’
‘It’s time to look in the mirror and have a real soul check to see the man that has really mass incarcerated black men over the last two-and-a-half-plus decades,’ Brewer added.
The former NFL safety was referring Biden’s hand in drafting the 1994 crime bill.
Biden – who was a Delaware senator at the time – was instrumental in pushing for the bill, which critics blamed for a dramatic increase in the number of black people being sent to prison.

Biden wrote the bill before it was passed by Congress with bi-partisan support and then signed into law by President Bill Clinton as the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act.
The bill later came under intense criticism when those opposing it said it resulted in higher numbers of black Americans being jailed on drug charges.
Opponents also blamed for the bill for an increase in incarceration rates across the country.
Brewer’s comments come just days after the presumptive Democratic nominee made his remarks on Friday during an 18-minute interview with radio host Charlamagne tha God on The Breakfast Club.
Charlamagne tha God asked the former vice president to come see him in New York post-pandemic.
‘It’s a long way until November, we’ve got more questions,’ the radio host said.
Biden sounded surprised by that comment. ‘You’ve got more questions?’ he asked. ‘Well, I will tell you what, if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black,’ Biden said.
Charlamagne tha God replied, ‘it has nothing to do with Trump. I want something for my community’.
Biden, using the defensive tone he used for most of the interview, shot back: ‘Take a look at my record man.’
‘I extended the voting rights act 25 years. I have a record that is second to none. The NAACP has endorsed me every time I’ve run. Come on, take a look at my record,’ Biden said.

When an aide tried ending things for a third time, Biden promised he would come back on The Breakfast Club and called Charlamagne tha God ‘pal’.
Biden’s claim that the NAACP supported him each time he ran for office was rebuked by the NAACP President and CEO Derrick Johnson.
‘We want to clarify that the NAACP is a non-partisan organization and does not endorse candidates for political office at any level,’ wrote Johnson.
‘Persons affiliated with the NAACP at the national, state, and local levels are free to make candidate endorsements in a personal capacity, but they do not reflect support by the NAACP as an organization.’
Johnson assured in his statement that ‘the NAACP has one mission and that is fighting for and advancing our Black communities towards an equitable reality’.
Biden apologized to black business leaders following his remarks to the radio show host.
‘I should not have been so cavalier. I’ve never, never, ever taken the African-American community for granted,’ Biden said. ‘I shouldn’t have been such a wise guy.’
Biden added: ‘No one should have to vote for any party based on their race, their religion, their background,’ on a conference call with the U.S. Black Chamber of Commerce Friday afternoon.
Among those who criticized Biden for what he said was Diddy, tweeting, ‘Aye bruh @JoeBiden I already told you the #BlackVoteAintFree.’
President Trump and his surrogates also took advantage of Biden’s gaffe.
