The latest: The divorce between former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel, 28, and fitness influencer Bre Tiesi, 30, was finalized earlier this month

A judge in the case in California authorized the divorce earlier in the month, TMZ Sports reported, citing court docs it reviewed in the case.

The couple initially began dating in 2016, got engaged in 2017 and wed in March of 2018; Tiesi filed for the split in 2019.

Tiesi told the outlet that she remains on good terms with Manziel, 28, and hopes he has a bright future.

Tiesi as of late has been romantically linked with dancer and choreographer Casper Smart, 34, who formerly dated Jennifer Lopez, 52.

Manziel looked happy in a Instagram post last month from Arizona

Manziel a year ago appeared on the podcast Ya Neva Know: You Know What I Mean?, where he said that his romance with Tiesi had a positive impact in his life.

‘I wouldn’t be here right now if it wasn’t for my relationship and getting married,’ Manziel said. ‘I wouldn’t have the same attitude towards everything else if I wouldn’t have gone through the divorce and stuff, too, if I wouldn’t have gone through that with Bre. 100 percent there’s no chance. And, I wouldn’t be here probably today, sitting where I’m at, if it wasn’t for her as well.’

Manziel, who in 2018 publicly opened up about his battle with bipolar disorder and depression, said in the 2020 podcast that Tiesi played a critical role in his development.

‘She helped me grow to where I needed to be and it got to a point where I’m cool, finally, for the first time, picking myself up, looking in the mirror and being cool with me for the first time in a long, long time and that’s where a lot of the mental stuff comes from.’

Manziel, the Heisman Trophy winner in 2012, played quarterback for the Cleveland Browns in 2014-2015.
