Former NXIVM ‘slave’ testifies how Allison Mack groomed her for sex with cult leader

A former member of NXIVM’s secret ‘master/slave’ group testified on Tuesday that Smallville actress Allison Mack groomed her to have sex with cult leader Keith Raniere and promised her that the experience would help cure her childhood molestation trauma.

The witness, a 29-year-old actress from Los Angeles identified only as ‘Jay,’ told the jury deciding Raniere’s fate that she joined the group DOS in 2016 and remained a member for about a year before making her escape.

DOS was a secret society within NXIVM consisting of women who prosecutors say were brainwashed by Raniere’s teachings, branded with his initials and pressured into having sex with him.

A 29-year-old actress named ‘Jay’ testified that Allison Mack (picture in April) tried to manipulate her to have sex with NXIVM leader Keith Raniere

Jay said from the witness stand that she decided to sever ties with the secretive group after Mack and India Oxenberg, the daughter of former Dynasty star Catherine Oxenberg, had given her an assignment to seduce Raniere, 58, reported Albany Times-Union.

‘It was basically my worst nightmare come to life,’ Jay testified during the sixth week of Raniere’s racketeering and sex trafficking trial. ‘The worst thing is it would be a cult and someone would want to sleep with me, and that’s what it was.’

Jay said that as a 12-year-old, she was repeatedly sexually abused by her uncle, and she was still nursing her trauma by the time she joined what she was led to believe was a women’s empowerment group.

The woman, who described Mack, 36, as her ‘grand master,’ said the ’emotionally abusive’ former TV star told her that accepting the assignment to have sex with Raniere would heal her.

‘This is going to help you get rid of all your sexual-abuse trauma,’ the witness quoted Mack as telling her, according to the New York Post. ‘And I give you permission to enjoy it.’

Jay said in her testimony that Mack’s suggestion ‘horrified and enraged’ her, and eventually led her to leave the group.

The witness testified that Raniere (depicted in a courtroom sketch on May 7) required female 'slaves' to survive on 500 calories a day and didn't want them to wax their pubic hair

‘Pardon my French, but I needed to get the f*** out of there,’ she recalled thinking at the time.

She described life in the alleged cult, telling the court how she was required to attend volleyball games and was once chastised by Mack for missing one of the games due to an illness.

During breaks in the game, Jay said both male and female members of NXIVM would kiss Raniere on the lips and give him chocolates.

‘My understanding now is I was being groomed to be a part of his harem,’ the actress testified.

Like other witnesses for the prosecution before her, Jay claimed that female ‘slaves’ in DOS were required to survive on a strict 500-carlories-a-day diet and were barred from shaving their public hair.

Jay said Oxenberg, who was her ‘master,’ told her that their leader, Raniere, known to his followers as ‘Vanguard,’ regarded waxing as ‘propaganda from the porn industry perpetuating violence against women.’

Jay said she freaked out when she looked up Raniere on Google and announced to Mack she was leaving.

She said Mack broke down in tears and asked her, ‘Are you saying you think I’m an accomplice to a child molester?’’

‘Yes, that’s what I thought,’ Jay said she replied.

Mack has pleaded guilty to racketeering and racketeering conspiracy charges stemming from her role in DOS.

Raniere is being tried for racketeering, sex trafficking, forced labor and conspiracy. He has pleaded not guilty to all counts.
