Former WWE personality Jason Sensation threatens to shoot himself in the head at Monday Night Raw

A one-time WWE personality threatened to shoot himself in the head on live TV Monday in what appeared to be a hoax.

Jason Sensation, an impressionist who worked alongside notable names such as The Rock, Triple H and Shawn Michaels, put out a tweet Monday indicating he was armed and seeking to end his life during the live event slated for the Scotiabank Arena Monday.

He wrote: ‘I got my gun through security & will shoot myself in the head & kill myself during tonight’s #RAW in Toronto. Don’t ya dare miss it!!! Thanks for the memories @WWE.’

Ex-WWE head writer Vince Russo told TMZ that he got in touch with Jason, who assured him that he was fine, not close to the venue and kidding around about what he intended to do.

On the bio line of his since-removed Twitter account, Jason said he was battling depression.

The Toronto Police Operations Centre said via Twitter that they were with Jason, and ‘there [was] no concern for public safety’ in the wake of the incident. They added that ‘he never was at the Scotiabank Arena.’

Police previously told TMZ there were no imminent plans to evacuate the arena in the wake of the potential threat, which came just a day after a 24-year-old gamer named David Katz murdered two people and injured 10 more at a Jacksonville, Florida shopping mall prior to committing suicide.

Jason had a stint in WWE during the late 1990s, putting his skills as an impressionist to work with pitch-perfect imitations of stars like Michaels, Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart and the late Owen Hart.
