Former New York Yankees star Patrick Kelly appeared in court over domestic violence charges after allegedly getting into fight in a Manhattan hotel with his girlfriend earlier this month.
Kelly was seen in Manhattan Criminal Court on Monday looking glum as he stood next to his public defender.
Both Kelly, 50, and girlfriend Marina Cernova, 34, were arrested at the London Hotel in New York City on October 1 over the alleged dispute.

Cernova called police around 2.40am to report that her boyfriend had beaten her. When police arrived, Kelly (pictured, in court, Monday) told them he was sleeping in his hotel room when Cernova got in using a key he had given her

They became embroiled in a heated argument at which point Cernova started punching him in the face.
Cernova told officials that Kelly grabbed her right arm and pushed her, causing pain and bruising.
Both were arrested and booked for misdemeanor assault. After they were released from jail, the pair were issued temporary restraining orders to stay away from each other. Cernova is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, October 31.
When the former infielder was spotted two days after the incident, Kelly said he and Cernova had ‘misunderstanding’ but now ‘everything’s good’.
