A young girl has died and four people rushed to hospital after a car rolled over on a rural road.

The eight-year-old girl was riding in a black Great Wall station sedan when it struck trouble on Millstream Road at Fortescue, about 650km from Exmouth Western Australia, at 11.45am on Sunday.

 The young girl died at the scene. 

St John Ambulance rushed two women, aged 29 and 42, to hospital with serious injuries. 

Another 35-year-old woman and a four-year-old boy were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The young girl’s death marks the third road fatality in Western Australia in less than a week.

A 73-year-old man and a 66-year-old died after their cars collided on Pinjarra Road in Ravenswood just before midday on Sunday.

The man, who was driving a Toyota Hilux tray top utility was taken to Peel Health Campus but was unable to be revived. 

His car crashed into a grey Mazda CX5 driven by a 66-year-old woman who died at the scene. 

A 9-year-old girl, who was a passenger of the Mazda, was airlifted to Perth’s Children Hospital for treatment. 

A 36-year-old man died on Agust 31 in West Toodyay, 85km north east of Perth, after his Hino truck veered off River Road and collided with a tree at about 3:55am.

The man died at the scene.
