Four men are stabbed in separate incidents in London

A man is fighting for his life in hospital after being stabbed in a fight in Wembley the same day three others suffered knife wounds in separate London incidents.

The 28-year-old victim was found with stabbing injuries on Preston Road, near to a Tesco Express, at 6.33pm.

Police were also called to the scene of another fight at 3pm in West Drayton, Hillingdon, where seven people were arrested.

Three hours later police were called to another stabbing, this time a fight between two men, at 6.30pm on Preston Road in Wembley

A third man, 21, was stabbed ‘repeatedly’ at 9pm on Harlesdon High Street, and a fourth incident occurred in Merton around an hour later.

The 28-year-old, who was stabbed on Preston Road, was taken to hospital where he remains in a life-threatening condition.

A police cordon has been put up on Preston Road following the stabbing, which police say occurred during a fight.

Pictures taken by witnesses show police officers standing within the cordon, while members of the public watch on.

Detectives can be seen gathering evidence at the scene.

‘Another stabbing in Wembley about an hour ago, will this ever end man,’ one person wrote on Twitter.

Bus routes 79, 204 and 223 have been diverted from Preston Road via Forty Avenue due to the incident.

The stabbing in Wembley follows another similar attack in West Drayton, where a man had to be flown to hospital by air ambulance.

The condition of the West Drayton victim is not thought to be life-threatening.

Residents have been left questioning whether it’s safe living in the area after a terrifying stabbing in broad daylight.

The main road was cordoned off while paramedics treated the man.

Police had been called at 3pm on Tuesday, April 23 – a time when children were on their way home from local schools.

Three people have been arrested in connection with the stabbing.

Thankfully the victim’s injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.

But the incident has left many in the area wondering whether the area is simply too dangerous for their liking.

One woman said: ‘It’s quite common [fights amongst youths]. There is a lot of drug dealing and a lot of loiterers, young boys standing around the area.

‘It’s not a particularly nice area.

‘Ten years ago when I was a kid I could go out and play kerby but now kids can’t do that. I have recently had a little girl and I would never let her do that.’

The woman added: ‘I feel very uncomfortable going home after a night out because they are all there.

‘It’s intimidating and that is how my neighbours feel too. They are not pleasant to be around.’
