Four men arrested after investigation into armed robberies

Dramatic scenes have unfolded on an exclusive Sydney street as heavily armed police arrested four men over a series of cash van robberies.

Four men in a black Audi were rammed by a police Land Rover on Cabramatta Road, Cremorne in North Sydney on Monday morning, according to 9 News.

A New South Wales Police spokesman said four men were arrested as part of a planned operation.

Officers from the Tactical Operations Unit surrounded the Audi, with 12 police moving in on the vehicle.

The arrests are related to an investigation by the State Crime Commands Robbery and Serious Crime Squad into a series of armed robberies of cash in transit vans.

The spokesman said no shots were fired.

The street has been cordoned off by police.

A witness told 9 News they saw the Land Rover crash into the Audi. 

One of the men was bleeding from his face and had blood on his shirt while he was being arrested.
