An ‘out-of-control’ party has been raided by police after more than 200 young people gatecrashed the holiday rental home.

Police raided a wild party at an Airbnb rental in Point Cook, in Melbourne’s west on Friday night.

There were reportedly up to 200 teenage revellers at the in the home before the party was raided by police.

The partygoers spilled out on the streets before allegedly robbing and assaulting passersby.

‘Officers were called to a short stay rental property at St Clair Avenue, Point Cook just after 8.40pm on Friday night,’ police told news.com in a statement.  

Five young people of ‘African appearance’ including one man with a knife allegedly approached two young boys, police said.

The men allegedly stole a phone, backpack and shoes, from two boys, aged 15 and 16, on the same street as the party home at 10.45pm.   

The two victims were treated at the scene and were not taken to hospital. 

Another incident involving eight young people assaulting two teenage boys was also reported to police, which took place less than 10 minutes from the party. 

‘The offenders in both robberies are perceived to be of African appearance,’ according to a Victoria Police statement. 

Police are investigating whether the robbery and assault incidents are linked to members of the party.

A Victoria Police spokesman told Daily Mail Australia: ‘It is believed all involved had recently attended a party at a short stay rental in Point Cook.’

Police are investigating.
