Frank Lampard scrambles to get Antonio Rudiger, Marcos Alonso, Victor Moses out the door

The Chelsea clear-out: Frank Lampard scrambles to get Antonio Rudiger, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Marcos Alonso, Victor Moses and Co out of the exit door with clubs lining up to snap up outcasts

Chelsea are looking to shift outcasts Antonio Rudiger, Marcos Alonso, Victor Moses and Co as the clock ticks towards the transfer deadline.

It has been a busy summer at Stamford Bridge with more than £200million spent on new additions with the likes of Timo Werner and Kai Havertz swapping Germany for England.

Blues manager Frank Lampard is continuing to rebuild the squad following his debut season and several players have become surplus to requirements.

Midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek is edging closer to departing the club after falling out of favour with Fulham pushing to secure a deal on loan.

Defender Rudiger is one of those who has been linked with a move away this summer with Tottenham, Roma and AC Milan all interested in a loan switch.

Left-backs Alonso and Emerson Palmieri have fallen out of favour under Lampard and their game time will be limited following the arrival of Ben Chilwell, who scored in Chelsea’s 4-0 win over Crystal Palace at the weekend, from Leicester.

Another player who was on target on Saturday, scoring two penalties, was Jorginho, but the midfielder has also been mooted with a transfer away from the club. London rivals Arsenal are showing an interest.

Chelsea have invested in a new first-choice goalkeeper this summer with the signing of Edouard Mendy and the Blues are reportedly eager to send previous No 1 Kepa Arrizabalaga out on loan before the window closes.

Moses and Danny Drinkwater, who have both fallen down the pecking order, could also be heading out of the exit door.

Moses has found himself behind the likes of Reece James and Cesar Azpilicueta while midfielder Drinkwater has failed to make an impact at Chelsea since joining three years ago.

The Blues will be keen to get some fringe players off the books before the transfer window closes at 11pm tonight.
