Frantic rush to rescue a man buried under rubble after his house suddenly collapsed

  • Emergency crews rushed to free two man trapped under rubble in Sydney 
  • The 45-year-old man’s two storey house in Marsden Park collapsed on Saturday 
  • Another man, 25, has already been freed from the structure and is being treated 

Two men have been freed from under rubble in Sydney’s west after a house suddenly collapsed with emergency crews having to frantically work to free them. 

A two storey house which was under construction in Gecko Street Marsden Park collapsed about 9.10am on Saturday. 

Firefighters rushed the scene with one man being freed quickly – but crews having to devise a plan to safely pull the second man from the debris. 

The two men in their 50s were treated by doctors and ambulance workers for multiple fractures and rushed to hospital – one with minor injuries and one in a stable condition.
