‘Unfortunately Gigi isn’t educated so she’s unknowingly putting herself out there as the face of disease, pain and suffering,’ Leanne said.

Last year, Gigi – who has spoken openly about her love for burgers – revealed to Extra how she was preparing herself for Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

‘I’m eating a lot [of carbs], squatting a lot. I don’t want to get skinnier at this point,’ Gigi said.

In response to this, the 37-year-old Queensland-based health fanatic quickly denounced Gigi’s belief that eating carbs causes weight gain.

‘Gigi is obviously mistaken when she thinks that carbs make you fat as a lot of people think carbs make you fat.

‘But if that was true then I would be fat after a decade of eating all the carbs that I care for.

‘And by carbs I am meaning a clean source of carbs including rice, bananas, potatoes.

‘Carbs are always given a bad rap and they actually should be celebrated as being a such an amazing food that is our main fuel source.

‘Girls, please don’t think carbs make you fat,’ Leanne urged those watching the clip. ‘They do not make you fat.’

In response, the dedicated animal rights activist said the model should rethink her food choices, especially as they ’cause to much pain and suffering’.

‘My question to Gigi is why would you choose a meat burger that causes so much pain and suffering for your own health, for other people’s health who are following you, the animals and the environment when you could have a delicious vegan option.’

In addition to her suggestion Gigi consider embracing veganism, Leanne also exhorts the supermodel to use her social media influence as a way to persuade others
