This is the perilous moment that a French paraglider in Turkey gets sent into a terrifying freefall after failing to execute an advanced flip.

Maud Perrin, 20, was trying to do ‘twisted infinity tumbling’ above Oludeniz, Turkey, when she fell into her parachute.

The paraglider became twisted in the ropes of her initial parachute and was quick thinking when she pulled her reserve chute.

As she is tumbling towards the ground, Ms Perrin even managed to get her twisted original parachute under control.

She eventually falls down into the Mediterranean before she is rescued from the sea.

The entire ordeal was captured on a 360-degree camera attached to the parachute which franticly spins when Ms Perrin loses control of her descent.

The beach resort Oludeniz is one of the most popular destinations for paragliders in Europe.

In the footage, Ms Perrin appears to be unharmed despite her fall.
