Friends of Delta Goodrem and Hugh Sheridan deny romance

It was recently claimed the pair are ‘secretly planning to have a baby.’

But friends of Delta Goodrem and Hugh Sheridan have reportedly denied romance rumours while insisting the pair are just friends.

All a joke! On Tuesday, friends of Delta Goodrem and Hugh Sheridan have revealed their supposed romance has been a laughable joke for the pair

‘It is pretty ridiculous, revealed a source close to the pair.

‘There is nothing romantic between them. They are purely friends.’

The denial comes after Woman’s Day reported that the pair were exploring baby options, with the Voice coach’s mum Lea completely on board.

‘She’s been exploring all her baby options and she really thinks Hugh would make a great dad – even if it were an unconventional scenario,’ the source told the publication.

‘Lea loves Hugh and thinks he is just the best. If Delta wants to go down that route, she’s happy to support her.’

Appearing on The Morning Show last week, Hugh also shut down the rumours.

Host Larry cheekily prodded the Packed To The Rafters star, saying: ‘We see photos… and we go “okay, put a ring on it, have kids, let’s get this next chapter going.”

Hugh then responded: ‘We talked about it I just don’t think so. I do love Delta, I love her so much, she is one of my dearest and best friends… but that doesn’t necessarily mean that there’s anything more than that.’

Gushing over the Innocent Eyes hit-maker, he added: ‘Any guy that snaps Delta up would be incredibly lucky. I’m sure she has a whole line.’

‘But look, maybe one day we will get married, who knows?’ Hugh said to the shock of the hosts.

‘You never say never,’ he continued with a cheeky grin.

Hinting something? 'But look, maybe one day we will get married, who knows?'
