Disturbing footage has captured the moment an Australian tourist, allegedly an NRL star, unleashed a barrage of punches on bouncers outside a nightclub in Bali.

The viral footage shows a confrontation between a large man in a purple Hawaiian shirt and a group of security guards outside a venue on Jalan Laksamana Oboroi in Seminyak.

The man, believed to be a Melbourne Storm player, argues with the group before throwing a number of forceful punches on the crowded street.

The fight spreads from the footpath outside the club on to the road between cars.

Bystanders were forced to scatter away from the brawl as the men raged across the street.

The large man throws several punches at multiple bouncers in the encounter, knocking one man to the floor while keeping the others at bay.

Melbourne Storm released a statement on Sunday night saying the club had reported an incident in Bali involving a player to the NRL’s Integrity Unit.

‘Storm has launched a full investigation into what has occurred,’ the statement read.

‘Storm takes these type of incidents very seriously and will not be making any further public comment at this time.’

Daily Mail Australia has contacted local police for comment.
