Two unlikely animals have become the best of friends at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden. 

A three-month-old cheetah cub named Kris formed a special bond with a five-month-old rescue puppy named Remus. 

Video shows the adorable moment this cub and pup meet and though they’re weary at first of one another, they quickly warm up to prance around and have fun.

The zoo said on Facebook that Cheetah moms do not receive enough stimulation from a single cub to produce an adequate milk supply, so the Zoo’s expert neonate team stepped in.

Kris is the only surviving cub of a litter of three and left without any siblings. 

That was until Remus stopped by on Thursday and it didn’t take long for the pair to have a great time.
