Furious white van driver is caught on camera in road rage confrontation after ‘undertaking’ on hard shoulder

  • The incident was filmed today at 4 pm on the A1M Northbound, near Doncaster
  • Truck driver said the man in the van used the hard shoulder to undertake traffic
  • Transit driver reportedly took offence to the trucker sounding his horn at him

A trucker filmed the shocking moment a white van driver brake tested him on a busy motorway after using the hard shoulder to ‘undertake’.

The incident was filmed today on the A1M Northbound, south of Doncaster. The truck driver said the man in the van used the hard shoulder to undertake traffic because he is ‘too important to be held up in traffic.’

The footage, shared on HGV Dash Cam Footage YouTube channel shows the van driver flying in to a rage at the trucker, gesturing angrily with his hands.

The cam driver told the YouTube channel: ‘The driver of this white transit van uses the hard shoulder to under take traffic because it is fairly busy and he is too important to be held up in traffic.’

At around 4 pm near the M18 Junction, the white Ford Transit van begins flanking the truck from the hard shoulder.

A man is seen hanging out the driver window waving his hand and angrily shouting.

He then speeds up and pulls in front of the truck and slamming on his brakes, dangerously brake testing the other driver.

The Transit driver reportedly took offence to the trucker sounding his horn at his illegal manoeuvre.

The footage ends with the Transit joining the traffic normally with one of its doors partially opened because of large equipment in the back of the vehicle.

Legally, using the hard shoulder on a motorway should be an absolute last resort, for a breakdown or emergency.
