A McDonald’s worker was shamed today after jet washing the pavement around a homeless man in front of horrified customers.

The man in a high-viz jacket was seen spraying feet from the victim lying in a sleeping bag in the car park of a Northampton restaurant.

McDonald’s has apologised for the incident that emerged on Snapchat today and admitted worker should have waited until he was gone.

Witnesses believed that the worker was spray-washing the ground so close to the homeless man he got wet.

Vicki said on social media: ‘The McDonald’s worker makes me feel sick. Spraying a homeless man with a jet wash, poor man’.

This is the extraordinary moment a McDonald’s worker jetwashed the area around a homeless man

Maureen Scannell wrote: “What gives people the right to treat homeless people so badly – it’s disgusting’.

She added: ‘The police need to crack down on this homeless people are vulnerable. Shocking behaviour’.

Enid Williams couldn’t believe her eyes and said: ‘Apologise, McDonald’s should be made to feed that poor homeless man every day. Without any doubt. Sack that Pathetic excuse of an Employee’.

The incident happened at the Sixfields branch near Northampton Town’s stadium.

MailOnline understands that the homeless man was asked to move and when he refused the restaurant worker just sprayed the area around him.

A McDonald’s spokesman said: ‘We apologise for the incident in question. Having looked into it we understand that no one was sprayed during the cleaning, however we appreciate that more consideration needs to be shown in the future. We have spoken to the team to ensure this doesn’t happen again’.
