Gabby Allen hits back at split speculation as she insists she ‘trusts’ beau Marcel Somerville ‘100%’

She was catapulted into the spotlight nine months ago after appearing on ITV2’s smash summer hit Love Island and not only found fame but also romance.

However not everything has been smooth sailing for Gabby Allen, 26, and beau Marcel Somerville, 32, after they have been plagued with split and cheating claims in recent weeks.

Despite the naysayers, blonde beauty Gabby, who is the new lead trainer on fitness app Fiit, has defiantly hit back at speculation they’ve called time on their relationship and vowed that she trusts the Blazin’ Squad star ‘100%’ exclusively to MailOnline.

Hitting back: Gabby Allen has defiantly hit back at speculation she’s called time on her relationship to Marcel Somerville and vowed that she trusts the Blazin’ Squad star ‘100%’ exclusively to MailOnline

Last week, it was claimed that they had split suddenly but were quick to deny and insisted that they were happier than ever when they arrived hand-in-hand to a Boohoo launch party in London.

Yet, the reality stars were once again accused of splitting up on Monday after Gabby discovered Marcel had cheated on her.

According to The Sun, the betrayal happened when the pair were enjoying a romantic holiday in Mexico last month, with the girl in question later sharing her flirty exchange with Marcel to Gabby on social media.

Acknowledging the previous claims, Gabby told MailOnline that she was ‘baffled’ by the reports and insisted that they were better than ever.

She said: ‘I was baffled at where it had come from, Marcel obviously had texted me and said: “Who have you been talking to mate?” and I said: “What are you talking about?”

‘Obviously people want a story and everyone wants us to fail but we’re absolutely fine. We’re quite good, we try to ignore all the input from the outside world. We’re in a relationship together, not with anyone else. You have to take it with a pinch of salt.

‘We trust each other, I trust him and I hope he trusts me too. We’ve never had any problems in that respect, I’ve never not trusted him in anyway.’

The fitness fanatic admitted she was taking their relationship in her stride and while she knows Marcel is the one, there is no need to rush their romance.

She shared: ‘I was never one to rush into something and I think I’m only 26, although I know I want to be with Marcel long-term, I also know we have so much we want to do career-wise that as along as we’re going in the same direction we’re fine.

‘It’s still early days and we’ve only been together for a year and I think because we’re in the public eye everything is magnified so everyone expects you to do things so much faster. I’m still a human, I still have feelings.’

The bubbly star admitted that her relationship with Marcel has its ebbs and flows like any romance but hopes that they could be like engaged Love Island stars Alex Bowen and Olivia Buckland in the future.

‘People want to see you together. I would never want to be in relationship for the sake of everybody else,’ she shared. ‘At the end of the day, you only live once and life is so short so why would you spend it with someone you don’t want to be with.

‘Don’t get me wrong, we argue but we’re human beings, we’re going to bicker but not everybody needs to know that stuff. I think we deserve our own length of private.

Continuing: ‘You never want to hear anything bad about anyone’s relationship and it is a credit to Love Island that people manage to find love like Alex Bowen and Olivia Buckland.

‘They are so besotted with each other, it’s so lovely to see so it can happen. It’s a credit to Love Island that they find somebody they want to be with. Hopefully we’ll be next Alex [Bowen] and Olivia [Buckland].’

With their stars on the rise, Gabby explained it difficult to find time together but insisted that they do schedule dates away from the media glare and off social media.

‘To be honest, we’ve been so busy work wise that we have to actively make time to hang out just the two of us,’ she explained. ‘That’s where the public comes in because they will say “We don’t see you together other than events” but we do see each other.

‘I just don’t feel the need to publicise my life on social media when I’m sitting on the couch… I’ve never been one to post stuff on social media like cryptic tweets where as that’s not me. I rather keep as much drama out of my life if I’m honest.’

Gabby’s comments come as she announced her new partnership with app Fiit as one of their founding trainers. The new app allows fitness lovers to train anywhere in the world with the reality star and a wealth of world class trainers.
