Despite the watch making her feel like emoji royalty, she appeared to shed it before taking the photos at the event later in the night.

Union launched Flawless – a line of hair care products catered to people with textured hair – earlier this year.

‘Through my time in Hollywood, I have been in a thousand different situations where the people who work in glam just had no idea how to deal with textured hair,’ she told Allure during the summer.

‘I would get on set and they’d be like, ‘Why doesn’t your hair look like it did in the picture?’ Meanwhile I just showed up like I was told to, with clean hair fresh from the shower.

‘But the stylists on set had no idea how to do my hair from start to finish. So they’d do things like spray an alcohol-based product in my hair before flat-ironing it,’ she revealed.

‘I became this weird guinea pig where they would try to make it work with whatever products they had. Over the years, I made mental notes about what works, what products should be used together, what products should never be used together.’
