Game of Thrones stars Emilia Clarke and Gwendoline Christie hit the Emmys red carpet

While their hit fantasy series Game of Thrones is up for the most Emmy Awards in history, stars Emilia Clarke, Lena Headey and Sophie Turner shined on the red carpet in stunning but very different outfits.

The 32-year-old Clarke is vying for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series for her performance as Daenerys Targaryen in the final season of Game of Thrones, going up against Jodie Comer (Killing Eve), Viola Davis (How To Get Away With Murder), Laura Linney (Ozark), Mandy Moore (This Is Us) Sandra Oh (Killing Eve) and Robin Wright (House Of Cards).

Turner and Headey are both up for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, going up Julia Garner (Ozark), Fiona Shaw (Killing Eve)) and their Game of Thrones co-stars Maisie Williams and Gwendoline Christie.

Clarke was wearing a stunning black Valentino dress that she admitted on Instagram was channeling Jennifer Lopez’s stunning green Versace dress that she wore to the Grammys in 2000.

‘@jlo just as heads up you have inspired this years lewk,’ Clarke said on Instagram on Sunday afternoon as she was heading to the event.

She was also wearing jewelry from David Webb with her hair styled by Jenny Cho and makeup by Jillian Dempsey but many fans also noticed a new tattoo that was seen peeking out from under her dress.
