Gang of 15 bike thieves take it in turns to kick and stamp on defenceless rider, 19, on the ground after stealing his £750 moped

- He was taken to hospital after the attack but escaped without serious injuries
- He said he ‘was furious and full of adrenaline’ in the vicious night-time assault
A gang of bike thieves brutally attack a defenseless rider on the ground as they stole his £750 moped.
Sam Richardson, 19, was ‘dragged off then kicked, punched and stamped on’ by a group of between ten to 15 men in Oldham, Greater Manchester, on Saturday.
Mr Richardson was taken to hospital but escaped without serious injuries.

Footage of the attack shows the gang of thugs crowding around Mr Richardson as he lies on the ground.
A car horn, believed to be from the vehicle filming, blares for a number of seconds as the thugs quickly leave.
However, two people continue to kick Mr Richardson.
The bike is then driven away by the thieves who flee the scene.
Mr Richardson said that he was jumped by the gang from behind.
He said: ‘I pulled into Tesco Ashton Road at about 10.40pm. My mate went into Tesco who is also a moped rider, we go to the exit and he pulls out first.
‘I’ve stopped behind him trying to see if there are any cars coming, then from behind all I heard was “get off your f****** ped”. I got dragged off then kicked, punched and stamped on, roughly about 10-15 of them.

The stolen moped is a blue Piaggio Typhoon
‘They waited until I had stopped to pull out of the car park.
‘I didn’t suffer any major injuries, the skin was taken off my elbow after my falling on the ground, I have a bruised knee and the right side of my right hand.
‘I was furious and full of adrenaline.’
The video was shared to Facebook by Sam’s uncle Steven Richardson, who wrote: ‘This happened about an hour ago at Tesco Ashton Road, Hathershaw.
‘My nephew was knocked off his scooter and beaten up by these lads they have taken his scooter. If anyone recognises any of these lads could you please inbox me.
‘The bike is a blue Piaggio Typhoon.’
