The father of a teenage girl has spoken of the horrific moment a gang gatecrashed his daughter’s birthday party and stabbed two guests in the back.

Emily Brinsmead was celebrating her 18th birthday party at her home Redbank Rd, Northmead in Greater Western Sydney on Saturday night.

She had invited around 50 or so guests, including family and friends, who were all enjoying themselves until a small group stormed the backyard.

Ms Brinsmead’s father Mark said he knew something was wrong when he saw  the gang in the garden.

‘They had beanies on and little masks across their mouths,’ he told The Daily Telegraph.

Mr Brinsmead said the group stabbed one boy in what appeared to be a pre-meditated attack.

‘I don’t know why they were after him … they got him, he had a stab wound in the back,’ he said.

Mr Brinsmead said that another man, a friend of his daughters, was caught up in firing line and was also stabbed.

‘Up until then it was a good party, we’ve had parties here before, it won’t be happening again though,’ he said.

According to the Brinsmead’s neighbour, Andrew Nakad, said he found beer bottles and an axe that had been in his shed had been moved into the backyard.

Police were called to Ms Brinsmead’s home at 10.45pm over reports a brawl had broken out.

A 17-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man were found with stab wounds to their back and an 18-year-old man had sustained a hand injury.

All three were treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.

Their injuries are not considered life threatening.

Officers were told an argument had taken place after a group gatecrashed the party.

Police set up a crime scene, finger printed the home and spent the night interviewing a number of party guests.
