It was revealed on Friday, that the reality star could be facing legal action after her head was placed on a model’s digitally-enlarged body, in order to promote her clothing collection and put online, leaving model Katie Green, 30, ‘furious’.

While a day later, The Sun reported that a second model, Kate Louise Smith, 37, has come forward after reportedly being used for the same purpose, as she said: ‘Rather than being mortified, I’m just insulted. It’s very intrusive and it’s an odd thing to do.’

According to the Daily Star, model Katie was furious to discover the poorly Photoshopped images and has sought legal advice.

Yet a spokesperson for Gemma, 37, told MailOnline: ‘The images were used in good faith by Gemma. An external firm assured her that they owned the copyright and had commissioned the shoots.’

On Saturday, Kate, the second model rocked by the scandal, told The Sun: ‘Why Gemma and her team took it upon themselves to alter the images is a bit strange.

‘I am really passionate about body image and women feeling confident in themselves and their natural body shape. I’ve been an ambassador for the subject for many years.

‘From that perspective, rather than being mortified, I’m just insulted. It’s very intrusive and it’s an odd thing to do.’

The day before, a source close to Katie said: ‘She’s furious and thinks it’s a total infringement. It’s a terribly bad Photoshop. A child could see it’s a fake.

‘You can tell they’ve just stuck Gemma’s head on Katie’s body. You can still tell it’s Katie though. It’s her hands, shoes and her poses.’

Reality star Gemma prides herself on promoting body confidence and has a successful plus-sized clothing range and a boutique in Brentwood, Essex.

A source told MailOnline that she regrets hoodwinking her fans into believing the pictures were of her body.

They said: ‘Gemma has been so busy of late and didn’t have time to do the shoot. Given that the model’s body looks so similar to hers, she thought it would be OK.

‘In hindsight, she wishes she hadn’t done this to three of the images as she would never want to upset her fans.’

The Star also reported that Katie modelled the clothes for Lily Limited, which is part of Fashion Book, a wholesaler which supplies the Gemma Collins shop.

But they say both Lily Limited and Fashion Book had no idea that the pictures had been Photoshopped. The images have since been removed from the internet.
