A clever mum has revealed a ‘genius’ trick for fitting large water bottles into any cup holder every time.  

The woman shared the trick to Bunnings Mums Australia Facebook page and said that her husband discovered the solution for ‘bottles not fitting in the holders’.

She explained that he placed a pipe attachment – known as a taper level invert – in the compartment, creating a larger space to place a water bottle.

The attachments range in price from $5 – $13 at Bunnings stores across Australia.

Other Facebook users were very impressed by the simple yet effective idea, and said it was ‘brilliant’.

‘That is such a good idea… Need to do this’, one person wrote. ‘Best hack ever’, one agreed.

Another person wrote: ‘My daughter was car hunting a few months back and one of her wants was cup holders to fit her iced coffee’.

‘That is awesome I need this for my massive water bottle!’, one said.

Last week, loyal Bunnings customers were left shocked when they learnt that a little-known policy allows shoppers to return dead plants to its stores within 12 months of purchasing them.

The ‘perfect plant promise’ policy, which was brought to the internet’s attention on Facebook, is given to any person who buys a plant – not a seedling – and has it die within the first year. 

‘If you’re not 100 per cent happy you can return your plant (with a receipt or a tax invoice) and we’ll refund it,’ the website read.

Plenty of customers were excited by the discovery and vowed to visit their closest Bunnings for their money back.

‘Does that include those orchids that look good for the first couple of weeks and then die a slow death,’ one person asked.

‘We took our very recent dead plant AND receipt back to Bunnings and got a refund,’ said another.
