George Best’s ex-wife Alex has been charged with drink-driving after crashing into a tree.
Alex, 47, was treated for cuts and bruises by paramedics at the scene in Kingswood Surrey last Saturday (April 6).
She was breathalysed before being charged with driving a motor vehicle while above the legal alcohol limit and taken into police custody where she spent the night.

According to sources, Alex, who lives in Kingswood, spent some of last Saturday with former Lib Dem MP Lembit Opik in Banstead, Surrey.
Ms Best was married to the former Manchester United legend Mr Best for nine years before they divorced in 2004.
She claimed after his death in 2005 that the footballer had been violent towards her.
Mr Opik and Ms Best became friends when starring on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here in 2010 and have often been seen together in London.

In 2017 Mr Opik was dumped by his lawyer girlfriend just month’s after giving birth to his child after spending the night at Alex’s house following an evening down the pub.
The former Lib Dem MP, 52, was given an embarrassing dressing down by his ex Sabina Vankova, 33, during a furious rant on Twitter.
But Alex later denied that that she has ever been romantically involved with him.

A spokesman for Surrey Police said in a statement: ‘Alexandra Best, 47, of Kingswood in Surrey, has been charged with driving a motor vehicle while above the legal alcohol limit following a minor collision in Waterhouse Lane, Kingswood in the early evening of 6 April 2019. She is due to appear at Guildford Magistrates’ Court on 3 May 2019.
Ms Best’s and Mr Opik’s representatives have also been approached for comment.
