The announcement comes after the Fair Work Ombudsman posted signs around Melbourne’s CBD that featured a photograph of the Masterchef judge and the words ‘Does this guy owe you money?’

The image went viral across social media.

Last week, George pleaded guilty to assaulting a 19-year-old man in May during the soccer grand final between Melbourne Victory and winners Sydney FC.

Footage captured from the event shows Calombaris approaching the fan after the man yelled abuse at him over the underpaid wages of his restaurant employees.

Earlier in the year the FFA refused to confirm to Daily Mail Australia if Calombaris’ guilty plea means he is now banned from attending football games.
