The Bachelorette’s Georgia Love says Melbourne’s five-day lockdown will be a challenge for her as she quits alcohol for Dry July

Melbourne is now in its fifth lockdown following a new Covid outbreak – and Georgia Love is not happy about it.

The former Bachelorette, 32, said on Thursday the five-day lockdown will be a challenge for her because she’s abstaining from alcohol for Dry July.

Georgia, who is raising funds for the Pancare Foundation, shared a photo to Instagram of herself snuggled up to her husband Lee Elliott.

No wine for her! The Bachelorette’s Georgia Love has said Melbourne’s five-day lockdown will be a challenge for her after she quit alcohol for Dry July

In the photo, which appeared to be a throwback, she held a glass of red wine that was marked with a red cross through it.

‘The halfway point of @dryjuly and heading into another lockdown,’ the Seven News reporter wrote in the caption.

‘If the first two weeks weren’t enough of a challenge, I’m certainly going to know about it now,’ she added, before asking her followers to donate to her charity fund.

Georgia’s grievance over going into lockdown in the middle of Dry July comes days after she deleted a mean-spirited tweet about a Married At First Sight couple.

Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson revealed on Monday they were engaged and expecting twins – and Georgia’s response raised more than a few eyebrows.

Responding to the announcement, she tweeted a close-up image of Bryce from his New Idea photo shoot, and wrote: ‘Siri, show me the face of “I’ve taken it too far”.’

Her tweet, which has since been deleted, played into false rumours circulating online that Bryce and Melissa’s relationship is a ‘showmance’ and their pregnancy is a publicity stunt – claims the couple have strenuously denied.

Georgia faced swift backlash for her Twitter post, with one user responding: ‘Fancy being a gratuitous attention-seeking ex-reality show wannabe, and trolling another ex-reality show wannabe.’

‘How about just be kind?’ another tweeted, while a third commented: ‘You’re actually horrible. Leave them be; it’s not your business.’
