The sheriff’s office initially reported that the driver was from Uber Eat but they confirmed that it had not been ordered through their app.
Tallant is believed to have been the victim of a stabbing incident eight years ago after a fight on his property with a man he knew, according to Patch.
He told deputies he’d been stabbed in the abdomen. A suspect was later arrested and charged with the attack.
