Georgia May Foote is rushed to hospital and forced to undergo an emergency operation in health scare

Georgia May Foote has been rushed to hospital had to have an emergency operation.

The actress, 33, who portrayed Katy Armstrong on Corrie between 2010 and 2015, did not reveal the cause of her hospitalisation. 

Now a nail technician, Georgia took to her business’s Instagram page to inform her followers about the health scare on Saturday.

In a story, the model wrote: ‘Clients booked in last week, I just wanted to let you know that I had last-minute surgery today. 

‘I’m not sure what the recovery is like or how quick I will be able to return.

Georgia finished the post to her over 7,000 followers: ‘So, I am just giving a heads up that your appointment may change.’

The star did not say anything about her hospitalisation on her main Instagram page, where she has over half a million followers.

MailOnline has contacted Georgia’s representatives for comment.  

On Corrie, Georgia’s character Katy was the youngest daughter of Owen Armstrong (Ian Puleston-Davies) and the sister of Izzy Armstrong (Cherylee Houston). 

Her main storylines were her relationship with Chesney Brown (Sam Aston), being pregnant with and raising their son Joseph Brown (originally Lucca-Owen Warwick), and her affair with Ryan Connor (Sol Heras).

Though showrunners promised she would not be, Katy was killed off in a car accident in 2017.

However, her death was off-screen and she was last seen on Coronation Street in 2015. 

Meanwhile, Georgia has been married to musician Kris Evans for a little over a year. 

They celebrated their anniversary on July 15, and Georgia wrote on Instagram: ‘365 days of Mr and Mrs Evans.
