Ghislaine Maxwell ‘cruised Central Park looking for girls for Jeffrey Epstein’

Prince Andrew’s friend Ghislaine Maxwell used to prowl Central Park to recruit girls for pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, one of his accusers has claimed.

Maria Farmer told CBS that Maxwell would jump out of cars to pounce on passing girls under the pretense of scouting for Victoria’s Secret models.

Farmer, who claims that Epstein and Maxwell sexually assaulted her in 1996, also alleges that Maxwell threatened her life – warning that there were ‘so many ways to die’.

She also claims that Epstein kept surveillance camera footage at his Manhattan mansion and stored it in a safe.

Epstein died in a Manhattan jail in July while awaiting federal sex trafficking charges, while Maxwell denies all wrongdoing.

In the interview Farmer said she had seen ‘many, many, many, many’ young women arriving at Epstein’s house ‘all day long’.

‘I saw Ghislaine going to get the women, she went to places like Central Park,’ she alleged.

‘I was with her a couple of times in the car, she would say “Stop the car!” and she would dash out and get a child.’

Asked what Maxwell claimed to be doing, Farmer said: ‘Getting Victoria’s Secret models.’

In her interview, Farmer described being horrified when Epstein revealed to her a ‘media room’ which had TVs set up with feeds from pin-hole surveillance cameras in the bedrooms and bathrooms of his home.

‘It was all videoed all the time. I asked him, “What do you do with all this”,’ Farmer said.

‘And he said “I keep it. I keep it all in my safe.”‘

In July this year, the FBI raided Epstein’s home and authorities described finding passports, cash and diamonds, in a locked safe inside but there has never been any mention of surveillance footage of what went on in the property.

A spokesman declined to comment on whether they found surveillance camera footage inside Epstein’s home on Tuesday morning. The FBI has not commented either.

Farmer said Maxwell had ‘her own floor’ in the Upper East Side mansion, where many women have described giving Epstein massages in their underwear and being sexually assaulted by him afterwards.

Farmer said in an affidavit that she was sexually assaulted by Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell after the pair commissioned her to paint a mural.

She also claims that Maxwell once threatened her life when she tried to escape.

Farmer said: ‘She says, “You’re going out to jog on the west side highway every day and I know this.

‘You need to be very careful because there’s so many ways to die there.

‘So you have to be very careful. Look over your shoulder,”‘ she said.

She met the pair at an art show in 1995 but says they left her so traumatized she was not able to paint for years.

‘That’s what Ghislaine and Jeffrey did, they took away the thing I was supposed to do.

‘They did that to everybody,’ she said.

Epstein died in August in what was ruled a suicide by hanging by the New York medical examiner.

Many of his accusers have since sued his estate in pursuit of the justice they say his death robbed them of. At the time of his death, Epstein was awaiting trial on child sex trafficking charges.

It has also sparked questions of whether anyone else will be prosecuted. On Tuesday, two prison guards were arrested for failing to check on Epstein the night he died.

Maxwell, the daughter of late British publishing tycoon Robert Maxwell, has long denied the allegations against her that were first made by Virginia Giuffre Roberts, who says she had sex with Prince Andrew when she was 17. Her attorney did not respond to a request for comment.

In a much maligned TV appearance on Saturday, Andrew told the BBC he had ‘no recollection’ of ever meeting Roberts.

Buckingham Palace has repeatedly denied all the allegations against Andrew.
