Ghislaine Maxwell seen days after Buckingham Palace meeting

Pictures have emerged of Ghislaine Maxwell, the woman who introduced Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein, just days after her most recent meeting with the beleaguered royal.

Ms Maxwell, the woman accused of procuring underage girls for Epstein, was pictured hobnobbing at a high-class social event in Geneva on June 8.

Just two days earlier, she had visited Prince Andrew at Buckingham Palace in what sources have claimed was a meeting to discuss the case against Epstein.

Ms Maxwell, the daughter of disgraced newspaper tycoon Robert Maxwell, has gone off the radar since the scandal emerged. She denies being Epstein’s ‘madam’.

Prince Andrew, 59, met up with Maxwell, 57, who is an old friend of his, on June 6 inside the Prince’s private Palace quarters.

She then set off on the Cash & Rocket charity motoring rally from London to Monaco, sharing a car with Nettie Mason, the wife of Pink Floyd rock star Nick Mason.

During the trip, the women driving the cars made a number of stops, including in Geneva, where she was filmed in the background of a promotional interview with English actress Amy Jackson.

The White Evening event in Geneva was also attended by socialite Paris Hilton, Sir Philip Green’s daughter Chloe Green and model Jodie Kidd.

She was conspicuously absent from publicity photographs taken during the high-profile event, and all reference to her was later deleted from the rally’s website.

Maxwell’s involvement in the rally is thought to be the last time she visited the UK, before her disappearance from public view amid the FBI inquiry into her links with Epstein.

During his disastrous BBC interview last week, Andrew was asked when he last saw Ms Maxwell. ‘It was earlier this year funnily enough, in the summer, in the spring, summer… She was here doing some rally,’ he replied.

It was later reported she was one of five people who visited the Prince. It has been denied they discussed Epstein.

The source told The Sun: ‘They were all smartly dressed and looked very official… They stayed for about two hours.

‘It seems very likely they would have been discussing the fallout from Epstein’s misdemeanours and what they planned to do about it.’

The only other photo of Ms Maxwell since the scandal erupted was outside an In-N-Out fast food restaurant in Los Angeles in August.

Ms Maxwell is now reportedly preparing to come out of hiding and speak to the FBI and give her side of the story to the media.

Prince Andrew was today visited by his daughter Princess Beatrice and her fiance Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

Gathering storm of US investigation into Jeffrey Epstein before Prince Andrew met Ghislaine Maxwell

February: The US Department of Justice reveals its intention to review a plea deal given to Jeffrey Epstein. He had escaped sex trafficking charges in 2008 after a secret arrangement with prosecutors saw him admit to a lesser charge of soliciting a minor for prostitution. US lawmakers call for him to face federal criminal charges for sex trafficking minors.

March: Virginia Roberts Giuffre has her appeal heard in relation to the district judge’s refusal to unseal documents relating to a 2017 defamation settlement between her and Maxwell. Giuffre’s testifies that she was directed by Maxwell to give erotic massages and engage in sexual activities with Prince Andrew, among others.

April: A new accuser named Maria Farmer files a sworn affidavit in A federal court in New York in which she alleges that she and her 15-year-old sister were sexually assaulted by Epstein and Maxwell in 1996.

June: Prince Andrew and Maxwell meet in London on or about June 5. A day later she goes on a charity rally to Monaco.

July: Epstein is arrested in New Jersey on July 6. Two days later he is charged with sex trafficking and conspiracy to traffic minors for sex.

August: Epstein is found dead in his cell in New York on August 10.

The Duke of York’s eldest child spent several hours at Windsor Castle where her father lives in the grounds as it emerged she and her mother played a central role in convincing him to confront the Epstein scandal in his now career-ending BBC interview.

Beatrice will also have concerns she will be cut out of royal duties like her father as Prince Charles pushes through his plans for a slimmed-down royal family after demanding his mother the Queen ordered Andrew to retire aged 59.

There are also growing calls for Beatrice and Edoardo’s wedding to be pared back and any costs to the taxpayer kept to a minimum or stopped completely after Andrew’s extraordinary fall from grace.

Despite her father’s woes the princess was pictured smiling and laughing as she left the grace-and-favour home with Edo this afternoon – but privately a source close to Beatrice said she had been ‘in tears every day’.

The Queen also left shortly afterwards, suggesting Her Majesty and her husband Prince Philip, who lives permanently at Windsor, may also have seen their granddaughter and her husband-to-be today.

As the fallout over Andrew’s BBC interview entered a ninth day, it emerged:

  • Prince Charles is flying back to Britain to face his beleaguered brother Prince Andrew after his nine-day royal tour of New Zealand and the Solomon Islands ended – and he is expected to see the Duke of York this week;
  • Second alleged victim Joanna Sjoberg ready to speak to FBI about prince ‘groping breast’ with a Spitting Image puppet of himself in 2001;
  • Woman claimed to have been raped by Epstein said the billionaire adorned his mansions with pictures of Andrew and bragged about lending cash to Fergie;
  • Andrew visited Epstein after financier’s release from jail to find out if he ‘had any dirt on him’, source claims;
