Ghislane Maxwell ‘donated to a hospital that treated Epstein’s sex slave’

Jeffrey Epstein’s ex girlfriend Ghislane Maxwell is said to have donated to a hospital that treated the pedophile’s alleged sex slave and to an anti-child sex trafficking charity at the same time he was investigated for molesting girls.

The British socialite, 57, reportedly handed over $1,000 to New York-Presbyterian Hospital in 2007 – six years after Virginia Roberts says she was taken there by the pair following an incident when she was just 17-years-old.

Maxwell also donated to $350 to Girls Educational and Mentoring Services, described as ‘the nation’s leading organisation serving trafficking victims and survivors’, The Daily Telegraph reports.

The anti-child sex trafficking charity helps girls who have ‘experienced commercial sexual exploitation and domestic trafficking.’

Maxwell is said to have made the donation in April 2008 – the same time Epstein was accused of molesting underage girls.

The convicted sex offender would go on to serve just 13 months in a Florida county jail.

A photo of Prince Andrew grinning with his arm around the bare midriff of Miss Roberts when she was a teenager, with Ghislaine Maxwell behind them both, has become the defining image of the scandal. Maxwell has been described as the ‘madam of the house’ at Epstein’s Florida mansion by a former housekeeper

The biggest donation made by her private foundation, Max Foundation TR, was said to have been to the Clinton Foundation in 2003 for a total of $2,500.

Her environmental charity, the TerraMar Project, raised $196,568 in public donations.

But Maxwell, who spoke at the United Nations as its founder, was forced to loan the foundation $549,093 to cover costs.

Epstein’s alleged co-conspirator, who has not been charged with a crime, was snapped for the first time in three years last week at a Los Angeles burger bar.

Miss Roberts claims she was recruited by Maxwell and Epstein – who took his own life last weekend – when she worked at Mar-a-Lago.

In the court documents, she says she was groomed in 1999 when she was just 15 and ‘worked’ for Epstein until 2002.

As a teenager, Miss Roberts was flown to the south of France on Epstein’s private jet.

She even described in legal documents how she attended the party in St Tropez to celebrate Naomi Campbell’s 31st birthday. She is a friend of Ghislaine’s,’ she added. ‘But she was a real b**** to me.’

Miss Roberts has also claimed in legal documents she was flown to London where she met Prince Andrew and had sex with him in 2001.

Prince Andrew has always denied Miss Roberts’ allegations, which have been struck from the record by a US judge.

Since Epstein’s suicide last weekend as he faced further child sex trafficking charges, Buckingham Palace has repeated its denial of wrongdoing by the Prince.

‘Any suggestion of impropriety with underage minors is categorically untrue. It is emphatically denied that the Duke of York had any form of sexual contact or relationship with Virginia Roberts,’ it said.
