Police have found a giant stolen fibreglass dinosaur during a drug raid on a property earlier this month.

According to the Fraser Coast Chronicle, the surprise discovery was found after Queensland police executed a search warrant on a Albany Creek property in north Brisbane on September 11.   

Along with the dinosaur, which is a replica of a velociraptor, cannabis, steroids, and other controlled drugs and utensils were seized during the raid.

A 21-year-old and a 29-year-old have been charged with a string of offences relating to the stolen dinosaur- which has been missing since 2016

It is believed the dinosaur and various other items were stolen from a veterinary surgery in 2016.

A 21-year-old man has been charged with unlawful possession of stolen property, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of controlled drugs and possession of utensils- appearing in Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on October 18.  

A 29-year-old has also been charged, with possession of dangerous drugs and possession of utensils and will appear in the same court on October 10.  

Police said the dinosaur will be returned to its rightful owner.
