The girl was on the Nepean River in Sydney’s west on Friday when the horrific incident happened.

The young girl was rushed to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

Meanwhile police divers will continue to comb the river in an attempt to find the girls severed arm.

Bystander Benny Lampasi, 47, of Glenmore Park spoke to The Daily Telegraph and said he witnessed the fallout from the accident.

‘It was a half-cabin boat that was involved in towing the girl before the accident, it wasn’t a ski boat or a speedboat. They locked it up on the boat ramp,’ he said.

The driver of the boat had to be treated for shock at the scene as SES divers joined police divers in searching for the severed arm.
