A nine-year-old girl has died at a property in an exclusive housing estate near to where footballers and business millionaires live.
Emergency services were called to a house in the Wynyard area, near Hartlepool, at around 7.50pm last night.
Cleveland Police said the death is currently being treated as unexplained and as post-mortem is due to take place next week.

A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: ‘Police attended the sudden death of a nine-year-old girl at an address in the Wynyard area at around 7.50pm yesterday evening, Wednesday, March 28.
‘The death is currently being treated as unexplained and a post mortem is due to take place early next week.
‘Our thoughts are with the young girls family and friends at this difficult time.’
